The Birds of Acid, part 5
The fifth installment of Didier Mutel's monumental work includes 6 hand-colored plated plates dedicated to Elisabeth Peyton, Kara Walker, Annabella Geiger, Alexander Calder, Alfred Kubin, and Arthur Luiz Piza.
The sheet size for The Birds of Acid is approximately the same as Audubon’s original: double elephant folio (96 x 66 cm) is closest to the French Colombier sheet (93 x 62 cm), paper formats differing slightly between France and England / America.
Subscribers will receive six new hand colored plates plus three bonus leaves. This sample images shown here are the artist's proof sketches.
